Otoko wa curai jo: Toradžiró sarada kinenbi

In Nagano, Tora-san befriends an old lady, her beautiful doctor (Yoshiko Mita), and the doctor's niece, a student majoring in Japanese poetry. Tora-san is reunited when the doctor comes to Tokyo to visit her niece and son, but their happiness is short-lived after learning of the old woman's death. Meanwhile, the family's candy shop changes its name and gets a new employee in this 40th "Tora-san." (Shochiku)
