Otoko wa curai jo: Šiawase no aoi tori

When a friend of Tora-san's passes away, he visits his daughter (Etsuko Shihomi) and invites her to Shibamata. There she befriends a struggling painter (Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi) and Tora-san once again plays matchmaker, even though everyone but the young lovers realize Tora-san secretly loves her. In real life, Shihomi and Nagabuchi married while this 37th Tora-san went into release. (Shochiku)
