I enjoyed this undemanding comedy. I really enjoyed it, and even thought a little bit about prejudices and enjoyed watching it on a Sunday evening, where the Christmas mood was gently fading away. I watch the movie objectively and I don't intend to lower my rating just because of Kuchařová as a budding actress. The movie, just like the new actress, is not a masterpiece, but nothing was repellent enough for me not to like it. On the contrary, I liked it, and some critics could learn to elevate themselves a little bit above romantic comedy. I give it a well-deserved 3.5 stars.

The Czech version of the famous "Rumpelstiltskin." I've loved this fairytale since childhood and I occasionally enjoy revisiting it. It is undemanding entertainment for an afternoon that can also amuse with funny performances by the actors. I give it a well-deserved four stars.

A very nice fairy tale with a pleasantly escalating plot and funny moments. It definitely made my Christmas evening more enjoyable. I was slightly surprised by the more modern approach to the tournament, but it didn't spoil anything. The acting performances were also excellent and the roles were very well distributed. The ending could have been slightly better, at least regarding the evil wizard, but it doesn't matter. I give it a well-deserved 4 stars.

If anybody gives this movie a bad rating the only reason I can think of is that he just doesn’t understand Italians. This movie is simply a proper Italian familia which is never boring and you won’t stop laughing. I’m glad that I got the chance to watch this comical movie at the Mittel Cinem Fest and could experience the whole movie theater laughing. At the beginning, the family relationships are very entangled, as is the life of the main characters, but slowly everything humorously unravels. Since I can’t give this slightly deranged comedy the full marks, I give it well-deserved 4*.

Don’t expect a comedy with a plot of any kind. It works well as period documentary sketches – the director did a good job of capturing it and the movie looks really quite original. But from the point of view of the comedy genre, this is a real loser. I give it 2* for original approach and realistic depiction of life back in the day.

I think my expectations from the ending of Hunger Games were too great and so I can’t give it full marks, although I didn’t leave the movie theater disappointed. I minded a bit that the movie lacked momentum, but it eventually comes. The second half had me on the edge of my seat and I enjoyed every minute of it. The only disappointment was that the ending of the movie doesn’t end with the wow I had expected. It was all quite predictable. All apart from the cute happy ending, which was to my taste and I didn’t expect it at all. Despite my review being slightly negative, I enjoyed the movie a lot and it was worth my while. And during the final credits you get such a pleasantly nostalgic feeling when you realize that this exceptional series is over. And it certainly was an exceptional series. After a long break, I came back to the series and went through it again nicely one episode after another and I have to say that it was completely different. The last episode really came from the heart and after I some thought, I raise my rating to full set of stars. The final episode deserves it.

An excellent comedy drama. Václav, the main hero alone deserves a full set of stars, or rather Ivan Trojan, who gave the role his best and whose acting was absolutely marvelous. And plot is really interesting and about real people. The story is enriched by humorous situations of Václav and in the contrast with the tragic climax, it’s simply great cinema. The great Emília Vašáryová shines in her supporting role. I’m overjoyed.

A Perfect Man or an almost flawless movie? I’m thrilled by the sophisticated and surprising plot which sucks you in immediately. It must be said that there are also some funny scenes alongside the thriller, but there’s nothing wrong with that in my mind. French movies are still well worth it. I’m happy to have had the chance to watch this spicy excursion into the mind of a writer at the French Film Festival, which created the proper atmosphere for a French evening with beautiful French language coming not only from the screen but also from the audience. Satisfaction all around.

Hmm, so that turn out very well... It seems to me that Minions is nothing more than a vehicle for making money and so nobody bothered much with it. Luckily I have a weakness for animated movies, so it scraped together 3*. I thought the plot was completely dumb, so, instead of "family", I would describe this as suitable for kids. It was nice to learn where the Minions originated etc., but that’s more or less the only good idea in this movie, otherwise it was void of anything interesting. But those yellow lozenges aren’t enough to build a whole movie on.

I would really like to know how somebody was capable of thinking up a brain that works so flawlessly. I was over the moon about this movie and it left me with a blissful feeling. Really great treatment of the topic, and funny scenes too to counterbalance some of the more moving ones. And I would welcome an adolescent sequel. There’s nothing complicated about the plot, but it sails along nicely and I had fun watching it.
