Halálosabb iramban

A nyitó üldözés élvezetes, bár csak másolja az első Halálos iramban filmben látottat. A következő 20 perc aggodalomra ad okot. A film többi része unalmas, és vered a fejedet az előtted lévő üléshez. Istenre esküszöm, a Trópusi hőség sorozat legrosszabb epizódjának is jobb forgatókönyve van, mint ennek a baromságnak. A főszereplő szimpatikus, de egy akciófilmhez nagyon puhány. A másik főszereplő pedig egy unszimpatikus és közönséges bunkó. A rosszfiúnak ígéretes imidzse van, de nincs rendesen kidolgozva. A cselekmény primitív, és hagyományos klisékkel sem képes ízlésesen eljátszani. Ha nem lennének benne a csodásan kifényesített és színes gépek, akkor az egész csak egycsillagos nyomor lenne. To be honest, I don't see much difference between this film and the much-vaunted first installment. The first one has perhaps a slightly more interesting story and characters, but otherwise it's pretty much the same. The action scenes were entertaining even as they were implausible (and really hectic); the central duo were also entertaining, the tuned up cars left me cold except for the blue Camaro. I watched without much harm and three stars is fair, I think. (2020.04.26)

Paul Walker tries to convince us for the second time that he can act and even drive a car. This time he didn't have the help of Vin Diesel, who still became the mascot of the series just because he returned in the next installment, "Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift". However, Walker's partner is an old acquaintance, or rather his old acquaintance. He appears out of nowhere, but apparently has a long history with Walker's character. It's quite a script trick, but it can be managed. Or it could have been managed if the film didn't try so hard to be cool and wanted to shock the viewer with great jokes. Here I am a bit ironic because the lines somehow manage to crash and fall apart. The story is quite similar to what we saw in the first film. It's once again about criminals and the attempt to catch them by driving really fast in expensive cars. The second time it's quite boring and especially uninteresting because the film doesn't bring anything new. It's a shame, but even though it might have seemed that the series was killed off with the second installment, it managed to revive itself with the third one, although it must be said, in a very strange way.
