Turturro a színészi játékával a film egyik fele, a másik fele Refn egyedi optikája. ()

angol Winding Refn style, oozing from every shot. An unusual story about revenge (?) is presented in dream sequences that are up to the viewer to interpret. You could say that this is almost a Lynchean work, but Lynch is just that much less comprehendible. Otherwise great Turturro in a very unusual role. Almost tangible suspense and minimalistic music of Brian Eno make this picture a must-see for movie buffs. I am not a murderer. ()

angol A fantastically made mysterious thriller with a perfect depressive atmosphere. Some of the scenes have so much tension that it’s almost tangible. That this film follows David Lynch’s model and can’t be exactly understood, that’s another thing… In most films like this, the trickiness can be attributed to an unreliable narrator, which here is a bit of a problem because everything we see is told from the point of view of the main character. Personally, I feel that this is to some extent the irrationalisation of a rational detective investigation through the rationalisation of the irrational ideas of a deranged “detective”. As a result, the shifts in the investigation take place randomly and related events in the plot are lacking a logic coherence. But who knows… Either way, it was nice to watch. ()

angol That was another misstep. Supposedly an existential thriller. Breaking news, existentialism is based on having to stare at a wall in mandatory silence for two minutes before anyone introduces themselves. It's a living hell in places. By the time you feels like your prayers have been answered and some dialogue comes in, even that drags on like a cancer. But don't worry, you won’t learn anything from it. It's really brutal. Although it’s not lacking in atmosphere, so two stars is going to have to be enough. ()
