Gekidžóban Mahóka kókó no rettósei: Hoši o jobu šódžo

When the movie came out in 2017, I deliberately passed on it because a fellow reviewer turned me onto Dawe’s review. He said that if you are not familiar with the manga, you are in trouble because, at the time, the anime adaptation was not nearly far enough along for this to make sense. However, today it is different; the Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc came out, so audiences are prepared and know who is who. I was very lucky that I forgot about the movie in 2020 and only remembered it existed today thanks to The Irregular at Magic High School: Reminiscence arc. It is better to see The Irregular at Magic High School: Reminiscence arc in addition to the two seasons of the original anime series before this movie because then everything will make complete sense, and in addition to already fully understanding who is who, you can also come to understand what is what, and everything will fall into place and work and make sense. So because of that, I enjoyed the movie quite a lot. I liked the fight scenes in the last part, and even though I thought at the beginning that it had a similar storyline to one series of Strike the Blood, I did not mind it at all. 7/10. (2021.12.31)
