Architect Terry Lambert (Steve Guttenberg) takes pity on Sylvia Wentworth (Isabelle Huppert), the apparently put-upon wife of his brutish boss (Paul Shenar). Terry commences an affair with Sylvia and during a break between seductions, Sylvia hears a woman screaming from outside her bedroom window. She looks down to see a mysterious man strangling helpless victim Denise (Elizabeth McGovern). By the time Terry comes to the window, he can see only a crowd of spectators. The next day, Terry learns that another girl has been attacked and murdered, and begins to deduce that the killer may be the same person who assaulted Denise. As the name implies this film strongly references the famous Hitchcockʼs movie Rear Window. The story isn’t much different either. The original idea is clear. Even then, its course gradually changes and goes beyond, which would be good for a typical American movie but doesn’t have much in common with reality. However, moments like these are good for movies, and not only do they create suspense, but they also create excitement from a criminal story well done. Honestly, I don’t get why Steve Guttenberg messed himself up so much in the 1990s. He had prospects of great movies.

The Bedroom Window reminds me of the famous Hitchcock film with its title, and the whole thing is also constructed, cast, and acted in a way that clearly pays tribute to the master's classic work. The search for a serial killer of women brings together a sympathetic protagonist who, as was customary for Hitchcock, faces suspicion of the crime, with no less sympathetic victim portrayed by Elizabeth McGovern. Terry Lambert is torn between two fateful women, and while I wouldn't want his worries, on the other hand, McGovern and Isabelle Huppert are beautiful and have charisma to spare, so his suffering also has a bright side. Overall impression: 75%.
