Dr. Johnson (Fred Williams) lives in bliss with his beautiful wife (Soledad Miranda) until his unorthodox experiments with human embryos cause a medical committee to reject his findings and order him to discontinue his work. The unstable doc does the only sensible thing: slashing his wrists in the bathroom. Devastated, his wife vows to seduce and kill the three men and one woman responsible for the suicide. Jesús Franco viszonylag józan filmje, aminek van eleje és vége, ugyanakkor nem hiányzik belőle a spanyol hetvenes évekbeli ponyvaszerű szag. Különösen az energikus popzene a gyilkossági jelenetekben, amelyeket gyönyörű (meztelen), bosszút álló özvegyasszony hajt végre. Nem a feszültségről szól, hanem inkább a tragikus veszteségről, amit átél, és a bűnösök iránti gyűlöletéről. Rengeteg felvétellel a bosszúálló nő dühös szeméről. Valójában ez egy melodráma, revenge exploitation formájára elfajulva. Horst Tappert mint nyomozó - három évvel a híres Derrick sorozat kezdete előtt! Ami miatt Franco egyfajta spanyol Roger Corman!

I like Jesús Franco. That's why I like the styling of the film She Killed in Ecstasy. Sure, it's not great in terms of the sex or violence. But it has its charms. However, the film is also almost 50 years old! That's not a small thing. It's a fact that the horror film She Killed in Ecstasy has to hit the right note because otherwise, it will be quite ordinary for you. In my case, it hit the right note, even with its imbalance.
