(TV2)

magyar Čermák és Bjelac jól játszik, de a mellékszereplőkkel való munka a cseh tévésorozatok olcsóságát idézi. Rendezőnek nincs érzéke a részletekhez. Másrészt jól kezeli az információk tálalásának ritmusát, és akit érdekel a gengszter szarházi története, az nem fog unatkozni. Cseh viszonylatban tisztességes instrumentális filmzene. ()

angol You have no idea how much I’d been looking forward to this movie. Probably even more than I’d been looking forward to the Story of a Godfather. You see, Mr. Pachl has a reputation of a debuting filmmaker with interesting experience from Czech Television and I must say for all those reasons I’d really been looking forward to this one more than any other movie made in our small country. And the result was exactly what I’d been hoping for. Technically excellent cinematography which confirms the professionalism, quality and grandiosity of the movie also through using the beautiful aerial shots of the countryside. The only problem with this movie is that people unfamiliar with any Czech scandals of this kind will keep getting lost in the story. Even I was having problems at the start to actually get into the story, but I managed to do that in about half an hour. And it was also thanks to the acting performances, which I have nothing bad to say about at all. I don’t think Hynek Čermák is capable of putting in a less-than-perfect acting performance. Predrag Bjelac is definitely another character you can’t fail to mention. His charisma was literally dripping from the screen. A tip of my hat to him. And they said that it was impossible to make a great European movie in Czechia. ()

angol A pretty decent production by Czech standards, but lacking a clearer script, a more vigorous directorial hand and drive. At times, the attempt to be as naturally cool as possible and throw one thing after another at the viewer is too obvious and doesn't work. And it also feels too much like a TV movie. But all things considered, it's a quite entertaining parody and Hynek Čermák downright enjoys the lead role. But only Vlastina Svátková reminds us of Hollywood with her charm. ()

angol I am quite glad that Czech production has found its place in these modern gangster movies because it clearly excels at it. After "The Godfather Story," this is another excellent notch with great acting performances, whether in the main or supporting roles. These are films that give you chills, and I still don't understand how people in the cinema laughed at it. Are they really that naive? ()
