Négy tinédzser, négy gyerekkori barát - három fiú és egy lány - élete tárul fel előttünk: az erőszak, a szex, a gyűlölet, a szeretet és az érzelmi zavarodottság minden fázisával. Claude gördeszkás srác, aki egyszerre gyűlöli és szereti apját. Shawn inkább a szex iránt érdeklődik: halálosan belezúg barátnője húsz évvel idősebb anyjába. Peaches, a társaság lánytagja mindenáron el szeretne menekülni otthonról őrülten bigott apjától. Tate eközben nagyszülei túlzottan gondoskodó szeretetétől szenved. És persze ott van az ötödik haver is: Ken Park, de ő már csak múlt időben... A tabufilmjeiről ismert Larry Clark (Kölykök, Genya) új filmje emlékezetes botrányt kavart a Velencei Filmfesztiválon, és több országban kiváltotta a cenzorok haragját is. (Budapest Film)

If there is an art to filming shit and its aroma, then this film is great art.

When, at the end of the film, the three protagonists dream of Paradise Island, where there is only ever fucking going on, the voice of the creator speaks to us, realizing with a sigh that the film, whose only content is intercourse, masturbation, sexual deviations and dialogues about the these things, will probably feel a bit empty in today's world. And indeed it does. I have nothing against explicitly demonstrated practices, but forgive me ladies - if I want to stare at them like a voyeur, I would rather watch porn. Porn has about the same amount of content, but more details. Ken Park is a classic product of the surface spectacle, which forgets that the real shock does not come from the surface, but from the inside. But this film has no inside.
