Egyedül a sötétben

I am not the type of viewer who admires B movies for their B-movie qualities, but at the same time, I am not the one who would discard a film just because it was directed by someone who was once considered the worst director of our time. I, too, expected an unwatchable waste of time, but within the context of a light snack, I was perhaps even satisfied. Despite not playing the video game adaptation, I am still surprised by the mediocre ratings in deep dark values. Is the film really worse than the abominations of the "action, archeology, digital monsters" subgenre, such as the second Tomb Raider shortly before? Hard to say. But for me, out of the entire critical period when Uwe immersed himself in the world of video games almost with delight, Edward Carnby's adventure remains the clearly smallest evil. ()

angol You can survive it, but Uwe Boll has plenty of nonsense to offer. Wherever you look, it squeaks. The action is bad, technically very variable, sketchy and confusing in terms of plot, with practically no tension, and it basically resembles a thoroughbred made-for-TV movie. What were the intentions with this travesty is a mystery to me, but it is a well-deserved failure. Christian Slater lacks the much-needed charisma, and even though Tara Reid is quite attractive, her acting is pretty poor. The worst part, however, is the fact that it presents itself as a deadly serious action film, when in reality it's completely the opposite. Truly difficult to watch, and I only recommend it in case of an extremely strong sense of boredom. ()
