Borgiák - Ereklyék (2013) (epizód)

angol I was torn between three and four stars for this episode. In the end, I settled on a weak four. I was expecting some juicy Vatican intrigue, but instead, we got a new, pretty dull alliance and uneventful negotiations with the Jewish delegation. Not exactly what I was hoping for. 4*-

Borgiák - A farkas és a bárány (2013) (epizód)

angol The episode showed some improvement. I really enjoyed Cesare's diplomatic mission in France — if the whole episode had followed that vibe, it would have been great. Unfortunately, the focus on the Pope and Bianca dragged the quality down a bit.

Borgiák - Gesztenyebankett (2013) (epizód)

angol Unfortunately, this episode left me feeling a bit lukewarm, like a rerun of the previous one. At times, it even felt like I was watching Game of Thrones. While some parts were solid, the medieval peep show took up way too much screen time that could've been put to better use. 4*-

Borgiák - Testvérek (2013) (epizód)

angol I don't want to nitpick too much because I'm genuinely enjoying the series, but those wedding episodes just didn't grab me. The creators seemed to be scrambling to salvage it with a touch of incest towards the end. Personally, I don't mind if a brother and sister genuinely care for each other and aren't causing any harm, they should be free to enjoy their bond. 4*-

Borgiák - A tisztogatás (2013) (epizód)

angol The quality took a bit of a dip, despite the abundance of plotting. If the creators had stuck to those intrigues the whole way through, I'd easily give it five stars. But alas, they veered off into dissecting romantic relationships, slowing down the pace of the story.

Borgiák - A halál arca (2013) (epizód)

angol A delightful surprise. The creators seamlessly continued the storyline from the second season (which, let's be honest, was the only way to go), and they crafted an episode with top-notch atmosphere, solid tension, and surprisingly, plenty of action. It all came together so well that I found myself thoroughly enjoying every minute, eagerly awaiting what comes next.

Borgiák - Season 2 (2012) (évad)

angol Even the second season had its dull moments, but I was more annoyed by some illogicalities in the siege of Forli. But that’s about it for my complaints. I was quite satisfied with this season otherwise, so I don’t want to nitpick. The second season managed to keep up the high standard. I enjoyed it, and I’m obviously looking forward to the next one.

Borgiák - A vallomás (2012) (epizód)

angol Once again, the creators nailed it. Rodrigo's evolving mental state was a fascinating journey to follow, and honestly, after everything he's been through, who could blame him? The plot maintained a nice, steady pace, the atmosphere was on point, and that ending... well, let's just say it left me itching to dive right into the next season.

Borgiák - A csodák világa (2012) (epizód)

angol The plot may have dipped a bit compared to the previous episode, but it was still far from uninteresting. I couldn't help but chuckle at the crucible scene — it felt like a much-needed wake-up call for those priests who still haven't figured out how to do some soul-searching.

Borgiák - Igazság és hazugság (2012) (epizód)

angol The eighth episode was actually quite solid. With the intense rivalry and scheming between brothers taking center stage, along with the anti-Papal maneuvers thrown into the mix, there was never a dull moment. Everything unfolded at a satisfying pace, and I particularly relished the intricate maneuvering around Lucrezia's potential marriage. Overall, it left me pretty content. 4*+
