I Know You're in There (2016)

angol The fact that I Know You're in There is actually made as an amateur documentary about life with a disabled sister is a bit strange, it doesn't have much of a rationale, and it's more of an attempt to cover up the fact that it's not very well made. Plot-wise it doesn't surprise much and it just goes for the classic build-up of scary scenes, but there's not much to it. Plus, it also has a classic weird open ending.

Bókó kirisaki Džakku (1976)

angol If the Japanese weren't so scared and this was actually explicit in the eroticism, I'd probably give it a better review, but on the other hand, the fact that we only see moderated nudity has something to it, especially considering the violence that takes place. The film is a good example of getting inside the head of a madman.

Dög (2017)

angol The idea in the film is actually quite interesting - a woman in a dissatisfied relationship starts turning into a dog. However, the result is that everything can be saved and everything will turn out well. It seems to me more illusory than real and not even very philosophical, if you consider it that way. It's a guide to a better life that nobody will follow.

Gyilkos pénz (2017)

angol John Cusack handles his role quite well, although his character's bullets miss a lot, which bothered me quite a bit. Then this chase scene is quite boring and lacks the right intensity. Moreover, I was cheering more for the attacker than for his victims, although in the end, I guess it wouldn't matter to me if they all died.

A sárkány születése (2016)

angol This is definitely a film where you have more expectations than what you end up getting, but there are still some scenes that can be quite fulfilling, at least if you have a need for good action or good martial arts. There’s a lot of dancing in parts, but there are scenes I enjoyed. Bruce Lee's performance was interesting.

Brainjacked (2009)

angol You can see in Brainjacked that it was basically shot at one location, you can see that it's cheap, but there's also some effort to make sure that it was shot in the best possible way based on the way it was laid out, at least under the conditions that the filmmakers had. I'm not saying it's a great film, but it's a film that's not downright bad and I'm happy to give it a few stars.

Beach Rats (2017)

angol It seemed to me that the film tries very hard to imitate Moonlight and to define the current form of films where a boy or a girl becomes a man or a woman. However, it's very similar, very slow, and realistic on the one hand, yet at the same time it can't really go any further in what it depicts, as if the film wants to avoid getting too close to porn. Which is too bad.

Batman vs. Two-Face (2017)

angol What's great about this film is that the original Dynamic Duo are back again, for the second time. It's a nice send-off for Adam West, who left us last year. There’s unfortunately not much going on in terms of the plot, but there are some ideas that break the classic Batman canon, which I quite liked, i.e., the Dent transformations.

Back Roads (1981)

angol More than anything else, this film is interesting because the main couple is a perfect match for each other. Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones are simply excellent and even though the story is rubbish in places, they manage to bring it to life and you watch scenes that you enjoy because of their acting. That's what I really liked about the film.

Baby... Secret of the Lost Legend (1985)

angol This is a very naive film with a pretty dumb story that almost seems like an adventure drama at first, but ends up being a not-so-good family comedy that longs to be overly sentimental. Still, I have to give it a higher rating for the animatronic puppets. I thought they were good.
