Liebesdings

I expected this movie would be another great light-hearted German comedy, as is usually the case when Elyas M'Barek is in the lead role. Unfortunately, his magic doesn’t work very well in Love Thing. The plot is very simple and forced; it has no momentum and feels fragmented, and even the actors, who seem rather stiff and rarely believable, can't save the situation. There are a few funny moments, but otherwise, there are a lot of vogue monologues dressed up as stand-up comedy, but it's not funny at all. In fact, there are so many forced lines of thought that it gets not just boring, but also annoying. (2022.10.22)
