angol Your typically melancholic and brooding Weir. The story moves forward very slowly, almost nothing happens during those two hours, but subliminally, the film is very intense. It’s hard to express it in words, you should watch this unfairly forgotten film for yourselves. Jeff Bridges is naturally brilliant. ()

angol Peter Weir gave Bridges the chance to play one of his best ever roles and Jeff took advantage of this to the full; Weir also offered a part to Rosie Perez that could have been the role of her lifetime, but she screwed it up as much as she could. Lots of powerful scenes just fizzle out with her. But I must say that in the moments founded purely on atmosphere and Jeff, this movie is incredibly powerful. ()
