angol A solid contribution to the lyrical tendencies of Czechoslovak film and a meritorious completion of a project that was started during the war by Miroslav Cikán at National Film. This is how Vávra went back to Marie Pujmanová's book and thus continued his version of Premonition with Pacientka Dr. Hegla (Dr. Hegel’s Patient). It's a great film about young people and their emotional maturation. All of them are excellent, led by Tanská, Mareš, and Vinklář. What are interesting are the scenes of hop-picking and the psychology of the elderly heartbreaker played by Hrušínský. The novel was first published in 1942. ()
