angol After Fox's I Am Suzanne!, I've changed my mind a bit about Lilian Harvey's American career. Moving to Columbia seems to have helped her a lot. Let's Live Tonight is once again not a miracle like most of the Weimar or later Reich films, but it does have several positives. It's a small, straightforward melodrama that builds on a delightful atmosphere and puts the viewer in pleasant contact with the film's tender story. Lilian has got the proverbial Hollywood touch here and is truly loveable, and her costumes are adorable and ravishing. If you like luxury on screen, and if want to wrap yourself in the luxury of celluloid, this is the film for you. ()
