angol What’s that? Spielberg's worst film? He missed the mark? None-sense? Come on! This is how I imagine the ideal film for everyone - it has romance, humor, good and great actors (yes, John Goodman), thrilling aerial scenes shot with such feeling and insight that they can't be from anyone else... Just unadulterated Spielberg, entertaining, rewarding and beautiful. And I suspect the writers of Ghost stole a little something from this film (although this film is also a remake). ()

angol It has been clear from the beginning what this film will aim for. Your emotions. Honestly, I didn't even know that Steven Spielberg had directed something like this before watching it. The reason is probably quite prosaic. This simply isn't a film that stands out significantly, although the aerial scenes are good. As a romance, however, it is classically cheesy and tear-jerking. angol I'll admit that I wanted to see Always primarily because it stars Audrey Hepburn, but she didn't really warm film. Too bad! Story-wise, it's nothing new, I found the main characters quite annoying, but the actors in supporting roles made up for these shortcomings – John Goodman and Audrey. I was quite puzzled by the fact that the director is Steven Spielberg, from whom I would have expected something better. All in all, an average film that could have been made better – there are a few emotionally powerful scenes and some nice ideas, but much of it is shrouded in the grey of mediocrity. ()

angol What can we say, as saccharine thing as it should be, with all its pros and cons of the film medium. But I still prefer the sincere and unpretentious beginning of the nineties to the later ultramodern experiments of all kinds. Spielberg has toned down on his creative signature, but it's still there, at least in some passages you can see it. ()
