angol Ten years after filmmakers discovered Ignát Hermann, Czech cinema progressed to such an extent that it seemed appropriate to bring this purely contemporary author into the present day. Soon the time came to dust off the incidents surrounding Nanynka Kulichova's Wedding. On the first day after Christmas, Vladimír Slavínský (and Otakar Vávra) prepared an update of a classic Czech silent film. It's very interesting how the popular faces have changed, who has become a follower of whom in the same genre, and who has matured under the constant repetition of the same tasks. The most charming aspect is probably the mirror of the then-popular Ondra and Lamač couple, which was followed by Ferbasová and Dohnal. These were ideals throughout the era of First Republic cinema, and it's great if audiences have the opportunity to compare the two versions. So far, this is only a rare situation, but hopefully, it will become quite common in the future. ()
