Born and raised in Wisconson, Ed decides that he has had enough pastoral living after his girlfriend dumps him, and heads for the excitement of the Big Apple. It isn't easy, but eventually Ed gets the hang of things and connects with Lee, a member of a folk-singing group. Ed and lee go together like apples and cheese, but unfortunately, she's attached. Typical product of the American independent scene of the 90s. Independent films are created either because they are too avant-garde, too provocative, or too ordinary for big studios to finance them. The last reason applies to Ed's next step, as it is a cheap, purely conversational comedy that doesn't address anything significant and will disappear from memory by the next day. However, it is a pleasant film that is well cast and performed. Overall impression: 60%.
