A film New Yorkban indul, ahol egy kórházi dolgozót azon kapnak, hogy a hullaházban testeket fal fel. Kiderül, az ázsiai Molucca-szigetek egyikéről származik, és ehhez hasonló testcsonkolások más kórházakban is előfordultak, ahol az e helyről származó emigránsok dolgoznak. Dr. Peter Chandler vezetésével expedíciót szerveznek a szigetre, hogy megtudják, mi áll a borzalmas események hátterében. Ott azonban a csapat igen hamar kannibálok és zombik hordái elől kénytelen menekülni. A zombikat Dr. O'Brien hozta létre, aki holttestekkel kísérletezik. Az expedíció tagja, a vonzó Lori (Alexandra Delli Colli), a kannibálok királynőjévé válik, és elküldi őket a tudós és zombi hadserege ellen. (Ultrafilm)
