A young couple travels to a shabby Eastern European hospital for cheap plastic surgery. The young woman wants a breast reduction. Her mother comes along for yet another facelift. Wandering through an abandoned ward the boyfriend stumbles upon a young woman, gagged and strapped to an operating table; she is the result of an experimental rejuvenation treatment. He frees her, but does not realise he just caused the outbreak of a virus that will change doctors, patients and his mother-in-law into bloodthirsty zombies… (South by Southwest Film Festival)

Tápláló belga gorefest egy kelet-európai kórházból, amelybe egy lány, barátja kíséretében - fiatalabb Josh Brolin - érkezik, hogy lekisebbíttesse a melleit. Komikus hangulatban, néha buta, néha humoros, rendesen véres szórakozás, lendületes ritmusban. A karakterek középszerűek, de a zombi anyag és a brutalitás szintje ezt kárpótolja. Lelkes alkotás, rendezői debütálásnak jó.

A nice bloody zombie killing spree set in a Belgian hospital. A young couple travel to a shabby hospital specializing in plastic surgery. The protagonist would like to reduce her overly large breasts, but instead of surgery they will be fighting for their lives against blood thirsty zombies. I was a bit bothered by the actors, who perform rather poorly and the fact that they speak English just makes the whole thing worse, but fortunately the horror is action-packed enough, the make-up effects are good, the gore is substantial and there's plenty of it; there's even some nudity, so as an entertaining romp Yummy works more than well. Too bad the humour rather passed me by and it's not really suspenseful or atmospheric either, but considering this is probably my first horror film from Belgium, I'll be nice. Story***, Action****, Humor**, Violence****, Entertainment****, Music***, Visuals****, Atmosphere***, Suspense**. 7.5/10.

Darwin Awards: The Movie, or if the characters would just close the door behind themselves, there would be no zombie apocalypse. Then again, it is actually refreshing to watch the slaughter of a bunch of assholes and idiots instead of the usual good guys and innocent victims. Nevertheless, a lot more could have been made of the environment of a questionable plastic-surgery clinic, as well as of the characters themselves.

It took me a while to decide on how to rate this mixture of genres, but I finally settled on two stars. It didn’t really work for me as a horror film, and there wasn’t enough humor for a comedy (despite all the effort). The filmmakers obviously didn't even try to pretend that it wasn't a B-movie (which I appreciate). On the other hand, it's true that the quality slipped even lower at times. Anyway, I've seen worse.
