When insurance underwriter Hugh Drummond learns of the deaths of top oil executives at the hands a pair of beautiful but brutal female assassins he is convinced that it is the work of an international crime syndicate. His investigations uncover that the syndicate is after a big oil concession, and to get it they must commit regicide... Egy retró hangulatú mozi James Bond stílusban, csak még jobban levetkőzteti a tökéletes testű bérgyilkosnőket, köztük Elke Sommer-rel! Sok benne az asztal melletti fecsegés, de szerencsére vonzó helyszínekre is eljut, a főszereplő szimpatikus (amolyan olcsóbb Cary Grant), a fő gonosz és az attraktív otthona pedig mágikus. Kellemes pihentető élmény.

A feather-light espionage that resembles the Bond films mainly in its pleasantly exaggerated atmosphere, but otherwise plays more on its own turf. Nor is the hero a second James Bond - rather, he's a link between him and Harry Palmer. The story is simple, but fun and thanks to the moderate length it has pace. I liked the idea of the beautiful, ruthless murderesses (if you're going to die, at least let Elke Sommer and Sylva Koscin do it) and the music. Most of the makers of this film are more or less unknown to me, but that makes it all the more charming.
