Izaokas

A Lithuanian activist kills his Jewish neighbour Isaac in the Lietūkis garage during the Kaunas pogrom because he thinks the Jew informed on him to the secret services. Years later, he works as a forensic photographer, lives with his beloved wife, but the burden of his sin is becoming heavier and heavier. Stylized as a film noir, the film examines the themes of friendship, love, remorse, and personal freedom in the uneasy historical context of holocaust in post-war Soviet Lithuania. (Febiofest)
