Anthrax

Based on a true story, Anthrax is a thriller centered on five former IDF soldiers suffering mysterious illnesses - conditions likely intentionally inflicted upon them by their very own government as it secretly tested anthrax vaccines on soldiers. After the sudden death of a friend and fellow vet, the soldiers set out to uncover what truly happened to them and who is accountable - but their health is deteriorating and the clock is ticking. Shot in “cinéma vérité” style, the film is based on the personal journey of its director, Shai Scherf. (San Diego Jewish Film Festival)
