A bajori űrben található, ám régebben a cardassiai uralom alá tartozott Deep Space Nine űrállomás új parancsnoka a föderáció kapitánya, Benjamin Sisko lesz. A világvégén rogyadozó állomás pihenőpályának ígérkezik az ide telepített föderációs tiszteknek - egészen addig, amíg fel nem fedezik az univerzumban ismert, első, stabil féregjáratot. With the exception of a few episodes, this is heavy declassification, in which the basic principles of the Star Trek series do not work. The attempt at a sociological study of coexistence on the Federation space station is boring, chatty, and generally unsympathetic. Moreover, I am still terrified by the repulsive shapeshifter and even more repulsive appearance called Quark. Mommy, I want to go back to Earth!!!

I would say that Deep Space 9 is not nearly as bad as it is rumored to be, but the issue is that it tried to break the classic narrative scheme and come up with something new within the Star Trek universe. However, fans of the series are extremely conservative creatures and don't like experiments. Honestly, together with Star Trek: The Next Generation, it is my favorite Star Trek series. Overall impression: 70%.
