The fishing industry, which for so long supported an entire region, is ebbing and the locals of Stavanger are worried about the future. Unsuccessful attempts to drill for oil increase the sense of despondency until a last try finally produces results, becoming the start of the Norway we know today. One of the Nordic countries’ foremost scriptwriters, Mette M. Bølstad serves us an engaging drama where love, liberation, class differences, politics and religion are skillfully highlighted through the four, young main characters and their fates.
