F. W. Murnau was definitely a genius of visual art and proves that even after almost a hundred years, his films are still very effective in this regard. In this case, he essentially reaches the moment when he presents a horror story, although not fantastical, with a human in the leading role. Occasionally, some tricks are pleasing, but above all, it is simply beautiful to watch.
