Yun Jie

Twelve-year-old Yun Jie Jiang lives in provincial China with her grandmother and two stepsisters. Her parents moved to the city to work, nothing unusual in these parts. Compared to her schoolfriends, she has a great many duties. Besides studying, she has to work hard helping at home and taking care of her younger sisters. Unexpected circumstances force Yun Jie to set off for the city to find her parents… A poignant and beautifully filmed story in which the lines between fiction and documentary are blurred.
