Po sezóne

A documentary about one of the most remarkable buildings of the 20th century – the abandoned Machnáč Sanatorium in Trenčianske Teplice spa town. The constructivist building was once an ode to progress, the architect’s materialized vision of humanism. The architect demonstrated in it his own ideas on technical and social progress, and thus built a symbol of a modern society. Today it is just a modernistic ruin of utopia, a transoceanic cruiser that shipwrecked in a spa park. The owners are not interested in maintaining a building which is not paying. The film is dedicated to the phenomenon of this extraordinary building through people who haven’t give up their efforts to save the Machnáč. (MFF Cinematik Piešťany)
