Overuse or deficiency of vitamins has a critical effect on our health. What is the meaning behind the letters A, B, C, D, E and K, what is their purpose, what are the differences and how to supplement them? They are not medication, but billions of them are sold as pills all over the world. We are talking about vitamins which are integral for the proper functioning of our organism. In this Australian feature film, the prominent science promoter, Dr Derek Muller, will introduce us to the experts worldwide to understand what individual vitamins give and take, how scientists got to the root of them over time and whether vitamin supplements are actually beneficial. angol Interesting documentary full of information about vitamins. Unfortunately, more than half of the film consists of personal stories of different people about how large or small amounts of vitamins have affected their health. Each story could have been told in five sentences, not 10 minutes, which wasted time during which new and more important information could have been conveyed to the audience. The other sticking point is that only a quarter of the vitamins are discussed in detail in the film - not a bad thing, but a shame. The narrative of how vitamins evolved was interesting and the film explored the history of vitamins in depth. On a positive note, the musical interludes sweetened the film nicely. In the end, the film has an excellent theme, but the actual craft is a bit worse. ()
