Malach Shel Ima

The setting is a wealthy Tel Aviv suburb. A psychologist with two children and a game-addicted husband. A mentally challenged young man wrapped in cotton wool by his loving mother. A tough police officer whose daughter refuses to do as she’s told. Life here runs smoothly and without a hitch. Until the ruptured body of a small child from the neighbourhood is found one morning. After the initial shock, the neighbours’ indirect involvement in the case slowly untangles. Mama's Angel is a poignant analysis of the latent racism and social tension rife in present-day Israel.
