Andrei és apja, Vasile Romániában élnek 1988-ban. A taxis Andrei cigivel és kávéval seftel. Élete fenekestül felfordul, amikor megtudja, hogy a nyugatra szökött, halottnak hitt testvére tényleg meghalt. Ám előtte csinos kis vagyont gyűjtött, és Hawaii-on élte világát, a végrendeletében pedig 3 millió dollárt hagyott rájuk. Az egyetlen bibi, hogy hogyan jutnak a pénzhez, Romániában ugyanis nincs magántulajdon. Az egyetlen megoldás, ha egy szabad országon keresztül próbálnak a pénzükhöz jutni. (Cinemax)

The Romanians know what they’re doing with their movies. Especially when their movies are set in the time of Ceaușescu. That time oozes irony and sadness. I don’t know why, the movie reminded me of Cosy Dens. The only difference is you won’t get much fun here. Quite the opposite. The story points out what and who communists managed to destroy in the Eastern Bloc during more than 40 years of their rule. Taking up topics like this can never hurt.
