angol A perfect occupation silent comedy, perhaps even better today than I remembered it (sometime from my childhood). It lacks only a little to achieve perfection, because Jaroslav Marvan and František Filipovský are a very good comic duo and the script loves all kinds of substitutions and counts on the viewer being in the same boat. The yodeling with the carriage was especially good. ()

angol Nobody Knows Anything is a crazy World War II-era occupation comedy, at times resembling more of a slapstick that contains a whole series of really excellent jokes and gags. Unfortunately, the filmmakers were running out of steam toward the end. I would have preferred not to see the final very naive denouement because it spoiled my overall impression. (65%) ()
