It is January 15, 1856. The fresh grave of Ľudovít Štúr is being slowly covered in falling snow as the screech of a circling crow awakes the world of ghosts. A mysterious man who just can't stop mulling about Štúr's sudden death arrives in the town of Modra. His name is Samuel Hronský. A long, frosty night begins. Nobody dares close an eye before the truth is uncovered – the truth about Štúr. This exciting documentary drama about investigating the circumstances of an untimely and unusual death of a prominent Slovak national revivalist, Ľudovít Štúr, skilfully combines elements of feature and documentary film with visually attractive animations.
