Moomin's Memories

This is a film about the small jovial Moomin character depicting its path of development from a children's picture book character to worldwide fame. The first Moomin appeared in the 1930s when Tove Jansson, the creator of the characters, drew the ugliest creature in the world. The first Moomin books were published in the 1940s, taking their themes from Tove Jansson's own childhood and family. Since then we have met the Moomins in the books, in stage, TV and radio plays, in songs and even in operas all over the world. (YLE)
