Edmund accidentally kills King Richard III but, unexpectedly, the tragedy makes him a prince - so Edmund decides he now needs a more striking name for himself. The first episode of the series still suffered from childhood illnesses, Rowan Atkinson appeared more like Mr. Bean with exaggerated facial expressions rather than Edmund Black Adder, and Brian Blessed was still finding his footing, so it didn't receive better ratings yet. But without any hesitation, I admit that I was thoroughly entertained in some parts.
