Où en êtes-vous, João Pedro Rodrigues ?

Using a commission by Pompidou as starting point, Rodrigues recuperates material from shootings he has made throughout the years, both about his films and himself. The piece is an exercise of nudity, opening with his own undressed bust framed without legs or a head, like Michelangelo’s David but eroded and cracked by time. The film speaks precisely about this, about confronting life’s comings and goings as it unfolds and art’s ability as a vehicle for transcendence. (Gijón International Film Festival)
