Park Myongho is no stranger to danger. He is a diver trained by the North Korean army. Diving into the deep in a 60-kilogramme suit leaves him no room for mistakes; a broken air hose or the bends would most likely kill him. Myongho took the biggest risk of his life eleven years ago as he rowed in the veil of night to South Korea with his family. He owns a boat and a house in a small village close to the border. His diving business is blooming. The growing wealth of a former North Korean officer is, however, not met with only warmth but also with seething envy.
