angol An unlikeable and whiny hero who always says more than he should picks up the most attractive B-movie actress of our times in a time loop and, despite all the obvious clues, I start rooting for him. On the one hand, it’s probably because, when communicating my charms to the members of the opposite sex, I am also ripe for countless resetting measures, and on the other, because the spiral concept is still quite refreshing and the creators manage to exploit it in a pretty likeable way. It is still aimed at teenagers and to turn off your brain, rather than to provide valuable moral insight like Groundhog Day, but thanks to the absence of any cringe-worthy scenes and vulgarity and its efforts to avoid tiring repetition, I have no major complaints against it. And one more thing, Shelly Henning shines among the well developed secondary characters, and she might have stolen Alexkadra’s crown for the most natural sex appeal. 65% ()

angol Another time loop film, this time in the comedy genre with the beautiful Alexandra Daddario. It has a nice pace, a decent script for a comedy, good performances and even though you won't die laughing, it's good entertainment which, thanks to the time loop, is engaging and interesting enough with a message in the end. I had fun. Netflix hit it again. 75%. ()

angol At first, I thought this was just going to be a lame romantic comedy, where the time loop element was thrown in. I almost wanted to scream, but then I found out that the trio of Alexandra Daddario, Adam DeVine and Shelley Hennig are so good that they are fun to watch and make the film entertaining. You want to kill Adam at first, but he's simply entertaining. ()

angol Serves me right. As a fan of Alexandra Daddario, I went into this movie solely because of her, without bothering to look up any more details. Now, I'm left wondering why filmmakers keep recycling the same old ideas; it's like when a writer hits a creative block, they default to a time loop. In this film, there was nothing new at all; if you've seen a romantic comedy before, you probably could have predicted how this story would unfold, maybe even by the halfway point. There wasn't much to laugh about, and to be honest, it got a bit dull. I doubt I'll even remember watching it by tomorrow. What really gets me is how often in American movies and series, the main characters have a black friend or a gay friend as their sidekick. How does that happen? I imagine there must be some sort of questionnaire or application in the States where you can request: "White person seeking best friend. Preference for black or gay (combination welcomed)," followed by auditions. That's the only way I can make sense of it. / Lesson learned: Grow up. ()

angol The dumb screenwriting time travel concept and the resulting total unlimited bullshit situations are all over the place after a while, except that this shouldn't be starring Adam Devine, who is a wizard of parody, gags of all types and apparently a very cool guy, drawing most of the attention to himself. The rest is left to Alexandra Daddario, but it's not so much about acting. ()
