Edie, a 83 éves, megkeseredett nő, aki 40 éven át ápolta a stroke-ot kapott férjét. I usually award similar life stories with the full amount of stars, but in this case I wasn’t very happy about the ending, which was too pathetic for my tastes. But the story and the environment definitely deserve the audience’s attention. The creators shot a movie about a grandma who sacrificed her whole life to her husband, and after his death decided to climb one of the most demanding peaks of the Scottish Highlands. Alright, maybe ‘peak’ is a bit of an exaggeration, as Silven is only 700 m high. But it’s still a steep hill rather far north, so the climate there is quite harsh, with a lot of strong wind. We must also take into account that it’s located quite far from the nearest road. I liked the premise, the camera and the Scottish mountain locations. The film had its charm. The grandma was rather annoying in the beginning, but turned into a champ who managed the impossible. Such life stories deserve respect.
