Sačiko no sači

"I won't give up. Something good is sure to happen." Sachiko (Rika Miura) kept an optimistic outlook on life, no matter what her circumstances were. After the war, Shinjuku had become a desolate town with no hope. Sachiko was forced to resort to prostitution in order to survive, and dealt with drunks, lonely middle aged men, and college students on a daily basis. But her life changes completely when she meets Hirosawa. (Nikkatsu)
