Sam tries to find clients in the Mojave Desert. But there's no one there, and not even his wife is answering his messages. Completely alone, and on the verge of getting paranoid, Sam takes refuge in the company of a radio talk show, where listeners are warning everyone about a child killer. But people start to reappear and they go after Sam, as if here were the actual murderer. (Sitges Film Festival)

I found the lack of plot to be quite crucial in Sam Was Here because this is a film that needs to have a strong plot. The story has a great beginning, but unfortunately, it failed to turn into a really good film. Sam Was Here gets about halfway there and loses steam by the end, failing to pull you in with its strangeness.
