angol I was quite intrigued by the original anime series, even though it left me with a lot of mixed feelings. I wondered about the meaning of the whole concept and finally resigned myself to the fact that there was no point in going to any extremes, and I just tried to enjoy it. I did enjoy it, and I am by no means dismissing the Kantai Collection anime series (though I would think a lot before recommending it to anyone). This movie has answered my questions and tried to make things clear to me once and for all. I now understand the connection between the Fleet Girls and the Abyssals and how it actually works. I found out why so much attention is given to Fubuki. Because of the conclusion and subsequent reading of the Wikipedia page (because I could not find info for the movie elsewhere), I also got some idea of what the KanColle is actually like and why the girls are ships. Even this time, I was not offended by anything I saw; rather, I found it a strange and interesting idea. So, in the end, I am actually quite happy with the movie, and it held my attention. I enjoyed it due to the very good animation, which in my opinion, was already impressive in the anime series (and here it is even better, especially in the fight scenes), and the soundtrack was not bad either. The fact that it is based on a game still sticks out, even though it is clear that the anime’s creators gave much thought to the game and the movie. It is quite emotional; it has plenty of action, and well, if you like most of the characters because you have a thing for cute anime girls, then you cannot go wrong. 7/10. ()
