Mikor a két reklámzseni, Charlie (Eddie Murphy) és Phil (Jeff Garlin) új fejlesztésű zöldséges müzlije totális katasztrófának bizonyul, elveszítik állásukat és feleségeik kényszerülnek munkába állni. Charlie és Phil azonban nem bírja soká a tétlenséget. Elhatározzák, hogy nyitnak egy ovit, és ezzel elkezdődik a kedves kalandok mulatságos sorozata. A váratlan siker újabb megpróbáltatások elé állítja a két jó barátot, de szerencsére számíthatnak Marvin (Steve Zahn), Kim (Regina King) és Bruce (Kevin Nealon) segítségére. (InterCom)

An outrageously embarrassing affair, which I would definitely not let a kid watch because of the huge dose of stupid, unfunny toilet humour. Murphy is only average, but that's the only plus the film offers, despite Huston's involvement.

We still have Daddy day Care at home on the original VHS, and I remember that even back then this film made a rather mediocre impression on me. The premise isn't downright bad, but the execution is a bit dull, and not even the solid performances from Eddie Murphy, Steve Zahn and Anjelica Huston can save it. Jeff Garlin struck me then, as he does now, as a very bad actor-comedian. The kids are mostly annoying, and the lesson about the importance of family is a nice one, but in this case quite cheaply served. Better two stars!
