Az anya halála óta a fiatal orvos, Mihai - aki a titkosszolgálat besúgója is - tartja egyben a családot. Öccse, Emil lázad a rendszer ellen, súlyos beteg apjuknak, Williamnak pedig már nyűg az élet. Az NDK-ba mégis azért mennek, mert Mihai elintézte, hogy apján életmentő műtétet hajtsanak végre. Épp hogy megérkeznek, mikor a Csehszlovákiát megszállni készülő szovjet tankokkal találják szembe magukat. Mivel az események miatt lezárják a cseh-német határt, a család egy keletnémet fogolytáborba kerül. Mihai itt megismerkedik Ullival, aki elkápráztatja: a müncheni egyetemista lány minden, ami ő nem, és mindene megvan, amiről ő még csak álmodni sem mert soha. (A Company Hungary)

I recently saw this show where foreigners from different parts of the world rated Czech movies. Cosy Dens was the movie they criticized the most. They couldn’t understand the absurdity, the setting, the historic context with which people of those times had to live every day. In the end, they criticized it, saying that it was nonsense and that we should stop making movies set in the Communist era. If they knew that to a large extent European cinematography lives on the history of the individual countries, they probably couldn’t stop wondering. This movie is a case in point. Beautiful cinematography for which the Romanians managed to get almost half of Europe on board as co-producers and on top of that, a part of it takes place in our country. There’s no way we could dislike a movie like this, is there?
