angol I still don't know what to think about how ABC handled this long-awaited "sequel" to Romeo and Juliet. The planned hit turned into a failure, firstly postponed to summer, then pushed to the weekend after a few episodes, and finally cut down to a mere seven episodes. As a result, it didn't find its audience, but it must be acknowledged that the creators contributed to the broadcasting confusion with their story confusion. For a while, almost nothing happens, the head of the Montague family only spews threats that could rival a low-quality telenovela, the ruler of the city clumsily recites empty wisdom, while other times he jumps from place to place unnaturally, flirts with the supernatural, and the sympathies of the characters change several times within a few dozen minutes. Nevertheless, in beautiful Verona, I found my favorite alliances, I rooted for the main heroine, regardless of whether she wanted to choose one of the suitors, but my lenient evaluation is given with as blind an eye as I can muster. The open ending only suggests false hopes, and I feel sorry for the series, especially in those moments when I see how much incomprehensible mud is being slung at it. Additionally, I voluntarily admit that the presence of Anthony Head heavily influences the outcome. Among his occasionally wooden colleagues, he effortlessly displays his Shakespearean quality, no matter what the script puts in his mouth. ()
