We have more in common with our Polish neighbors than we might think. A similar history, similar fates suffered by our heroes, and Karel Kryl. A parallel biographical look at the lives of Karel Kryl and the director Krystyna Krauze, who was born in the Polish town of Oliwa. A few years after her birth, Kryl's song The Organ in Oliwa would become the unofficial hymn of Poland's Solidarity movement. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)

I didn't actually know much about Karel Kryl, so I'm glad that through this film, I was able to learn more about him. It's not long, but still, there's plenty of information here, interesting personalities are interviewed, and Kryl's portrait is depicted in various shades, not just in the bright, positive one. And if you don't know him, here you'll find out that you know his music.
