Mama

A mother (Nataša Tic Ralijan) takes her daughter (Vida Rucli) over the Slovenian border to a remote village in northern Italy, where she shuts her up in a house. Even though the two don't speak to each other, it's clear that the daughter has self-destructive tendencies and uses drugs. In a desperate attempt to bring her daughter 'back to life', the mother has decided to take her out of her familiar surroundings. (International Film Festival Rotterdam)
