When the war started, also women joined the Red Guards for different duties: they worked in the service troops, as nurses and guards and also in the combat forces. The women who took up arms got a furious and persistent reputation. They were feared and hated among the White Guards. The women who were in on the war in the Red forces tell their story in this film. (Illume Oy)
